We dated heavily and made out heavenly

That love lasted a few weeks

And into a few months

Just shy of a year

You were the one

Tattooed head to toe

Blazing flames of fire

Even during the howling winter months

Jude,

You were the one

Soft and tender hearted

Paint oozing sculpture building

Effortless you floated ideas from the Renaissance

Jude,

You were the one

Held me during dark times

Read me poetry and kept me hopeful

Listened to the haunts and abolished the flesh

Jude,

You were the one

Taught me moral discernment

Caged my beast and found my ground

Catapulted me into the man I have become
